Vorschule Markt Schwaben e.V.

VorschuleMarkt Schwaben e.V.was founded. Originating from a citizens’ initiative, the association, which runs the kindergarten and after-school care center in the old schoolhouse of Markt Schwaben, has been creating an environment for 150 children aged 2.5 years to the end of elementary school for more than 50 years now, in which the children feel at home.

The purpose of the association Vorschule Markt Schwaben e.V. is to provide children in youth welfare facilities with individual, age-appropriate support on a non-denominational basis. The focus is always on the child’s well-being and needs.

The members of the elected board work behind the scenes on a voluntary basis and in their free time to ensure that everything runs smoothly in the kindergarten and after-school care center. They are committed to providing good framework and working conditions and thus ensure that both the children and our team feel comfortable.

Information about the association and its 50-year history, as well as interesting photos and a journey through 5 decades of the “Altes Schulhaus” can be found at www.vorschule-marktschwaben.de

The sponsoring association works on a voluntary basis and with great dedication to continuously improve the framework conditions for daycare centers. The association actively seeks dialog with political decision-makers by regularly participating in panel discussions and writing letters. These efforts aim to draw attention to the needs and challenges of daycare centers and to bring about positive change at a political level.
In addition, the sponsoring association invites elected representatives to on-site exchanges. These direct encounters provide a deeper insight into the realities and needs of the daycare centers. The voluntary work of the association helps to establish a strong link between daycare center practice and political decision-makers in order to contribute to a sustainable improvement in childcare conditions. Between all the political and financial challenges, it is very important to us to always point out that everything is about children.

We also cooperate with other institutions. For example, we are a corporate member of the AWO in the Ebersberg district association. Here we are in close contact both at sponsor level and in the specialist area. We are also a member of the Partnership for Democracy in Ebersberg and are committed to promoting democracy in our district.

The “BEE-BOX” of Vorschule Markt Schwaben e.V. offers free book boxes for loan to support children in the district of Ebersberg. The boxes contain age-appropriate books on topics such as participation, democracy and racism. Inspired by democratic processes among bee colonies, the books promote democratic processes and sensitivity towards racism. Every facility in the district can borrow a box for crèche, kindergarten or after-school care for up to 12 weeks free of charge. The project is supported by political decision-makers and stands for democratic values, participation and equal opportunities. Vorschule Markt Schwaben e.V. was recognized for its commitment to promoting reading in early childhood and, as the oldest parents’ initiative in the district, has been committed to needs-oriented and participatory education for over 50 years.
